ADAS Web Site now has XML feeds
I have added a new feature to the ADAS 'Latest News' and 'Observing Reoprts' pages, you will see on the right hand side a small XML icon.
This link can be used with an RSS Reader (one that is compatible with 'Atom') to keep you informed of any updates to these pages.
If you haven't heard of RSS, then I'll give a brief overview...
RSS is a standards based (it uses XML) version of the old 'news tickers' that you used to be able to install. Basically you have a 'Reader' (I use SharpReader) in which you add subscriptions to RSS feeds (the XML links I have added). The reader then performs regular 'pulls' of any updates and displays them. The reader can be configured for many feeds.
I use my RSS reader to pull news from the BBC (They provide about 70 different RSS feeds!), adverts, auctions, and articles from AstroMart, and Weather reports. There are hundreds of feeds to choose from.
Go on, do a Google search for an RSS reader and have a go.
Regards
Mark
